Mikes Garden
Mike LeBlanc
Mike— MLB, spent 5-months in solitary confinement and says the experience transformed his life. After the excruitating trauma of solitary confinement he enrolled in Angola’s Seminary School—and after a decade of working with peer mentorship in Angola Prison, he was transferred to a minimum security prison in Louisiana where he leads his own congregation as a Pastor and peer mentor. His gardens and letters are reflective go his devout religious convictions and his prayers for a more equitable world. Mike’s gardens have been part of the Andry Street location.
“I love the work y’all are doing in my garden. I can see the manifestation of something eyesome and meaningful. I also love the fact that this project promotes UNITY in the community. Thank you all.”
