There are many ways to support The Solitary Gardens. You can sign up for our mailers, follow us on social media, donate, host a garden bed, volunteer on-site, recommend a Solitary Gardener- or become a penpal with someone in Solitary around the country. You can also use this form to ask us questions or invite lead artist, jackie sumell to speak at your school or University. We also have a list of resources that can be used to help you talk about anti-solitary campaigns, and abolition.

WHEN VOLUNTEERING WITH US:
We ask the for groups larger than 8 folx to bring their own work gloves, water, bug repellent and first aid kit.
Volunteers are encouraged to wear long sleeves and pants with closed toed shoes.
Volunteering can mean anything from weeding, watering, clearing sugarcane, seeding— it is manual labor. If you are not able (physically or emotionally) we can think of other activities including letter writing but we need to know before the date of arrival.
As of yet, Solitary Gardens does not have paths equipped for wheelchairs, the site is mostly soil and grass.
